QMI has successfully completed the replacement of the Φ56 × 1200m wire rope for the vessel’s Towing & Work Winch system.
The operation required high precision in spooling, tension management, Wire Block termination, and final testing to meet offshore safety standards.
QMI vừa hoàn thành thay mới cáp Φ56 × 1200m cho hệ thống Towing & Work Winch của tàu dịch vụ dầu khí. Công việc yêu cầu kỹ thuật chính xác trong spooling, duy trì lực căng, lắp đầu Wire Block và kiểm tra vận hành theo chuẩn offshore.
Main Technical Steps
Các bước kỹ thuật chính
1️. Hydraulic Winch Set-Up
Align the pulling direction and drum entry angle; establish initial conditions to maintain stable tension; ensure a safe working zone according to offshore winch operation standards.
1️. Set-up tời thủy lực (Hydraulic Winch Set-Up)
Căn chỉnh hướng kéo – góc vào tang; thiết lập điều kiện để duy trì lực căng ổn định và đảm bảo khu vực thao tác an toàn theo chuẩn offshore.
2️. Removal of the Old Wire Rope (Wire Rope Removal & Inspection)
Control winch speed smoothly; avoid rope twisting and cross-laying; record the rope condition for wire rope inspection and certification if required by the vessel.
2️. Thu hồi & tháo cáp cũ (Wire Rope Removal & Inspection)
Điều khiển tốc độ ổn định; tránh xoắn và xô lớp cuốn; ghi nhận hiện trạng phục vụ wire rope inspection và báo cáo nếu chủ tàu yêu cầu.
3️. Preparation of the New Φ56mm Wire Rope
Check MBL, certificates, and surface condition; apply anti-corrosion grease; secure the rope end according to winch manufacturer requirements.
3️. Chuẩn bị dây cáp mới Φ56mm (New Wire Rope Preparation)
Kiểm tra MBL, chứng chỉ, bề mặt cáp; tra mỡ chống ăn mòn; cố định đầu dây đúng tiêu chuẩn nhà sản xuất tời.
4️. Spooling the New 1200m Wire Rope (Spooling Service)
Spool in clean, parallel layers while maintaining consistent tension throughout the spooling service; apply adequate lubrication to reduce friction, prevent corrosion, and ensure high-quality wire rope replacement for reliable towing winch maintenance.
4️. Cuốn cáp mới 1200m (Spooling Service)
Cuốn theo lớp đều – song song, duy trì lực căng ổn định trong suốt quá trình spooling service; bôi mỡ đầy đủ nhằm giảm ma sát – chống ăn mòn và đảm bảo chất lượng wire rope replacement cho hệ thống towing winch maintenance.
5️. Wire Block Installation (Wedge Socket Termination)
Clean and prepare the rope end; fit the wire block termination correctly; verify alignment, wedge seating, and tail length to ensure compliance with wedge socket installation standards for offshore operations.
5️. Lắp đầu bằng Wire Block (Wedge Socket Termination)
Làm sạch đầu cáp và lắp đúng profile wire block termination; kiểm tra alignment, khe wedge và chiều dài dư để đảm bảo kết nối đạt chuẩn wedge socket installation cho vận hành offshore.
6️. Final Check & Operational Test (Load Test)
Perform no-load and light-load testing; check tension, drum layering, vibration, and smooth operation.

- Wire Rope Inspection Certificate
6️. Kiểm tra Final & chạy thử (Final Test – Load Test)
Chạy thử no-load & light-load; kiểm tra lực căng – lớp cuốn – độ rung; và có thể thực hiện thêm winch load test, wire rope break test hoặc cấp wire rope inspection certificate theo yêu cầu.
