INSPECTION SCOPE

• Attachment welds connecting fittings and doubler plates to the deck or supporting structure.

• Weld faces, toes, heat-affected zones and adjacent plating.

• Existing, newly installed and repaired connections, including areas showing cracking, corrosion or deformation. METHODS

• VT: Visual condition, accessible weld dimensions and profile.

• MT/MPI: Surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials.

• PT/DPI: Surface-breaking discontinuities where applicable.

• UT / thickness measurement: Additional examination where weld geometry, access or corrosion assessment requires.

Inspection methods, coverage and acceptance criteria are established for the applicable scope. Reports include point identification, photographs, findings and inspection limitations. Repaired welds are re-examined as required before coating.

Weld inspection alone does not establish the SWL/MSL of a lashing point. Attendance at ports and anchorages throughout Vietnam, with support in Malaysia and Cambodia upon request.

For scope confirmation, provide fitting photos/drawings, quantity, Owner/Class requirements, port and vessel ETA.
